Newborn Photography in Carlsbad, NM
The session began and everything seemed to be going on okay. We made it through the sibling sets, the parent sets, and then it was time for the baby by himself images. But baby wasn't sleeping. Despite being fed, warm, and in that perfect age range for newborn pictures, baby was still so interested in everything going on he REALLY didn't want to sleep. Then came his tummy ache.
During my newborn photography studio sessions, you will often hear me say "We are not in the business of upsetting babies." The last thing as a mother and as a newborn photographer I want to see is a crying baby. Whereas babies can get a tiny bit fussy from time to time we try to not ever let them break out into a full cry.
Mom was amazing and together we worked to keep baby comfortable and sleepy and when baby decided he was done that was the end of the session. I look the images back to the computer and once they loaded, I couldn't wait to show mom and once mom got her chance to see the images, she knew she had to get them all.
At my Newborn and Maternity studio in Carlsbad, NM we work hard to make sure you are completely happy with your session both during the session and after. As with all things baby nothing ever goes 100% as planned. Every session I prepare a list of the order in which I want to take each image and 100% of the time the babies change my plan. And you know what? That's okay. Because at this Newborn and Maternity studio, the baby is in charge.
